HANDLING YOUR FEAR BIBLICALLY.

Topic: HANDLING YOUR FEAR BIBLICALLY.

Bible Reading: Psalm 56:1-3, 2 Chronicles 20:1-17.
Everything in our environment today, are sending fear to men, news all about are on the terrible things happening in our surrounding. Every time you read news papers or listen to radio or watched any program on Television today, everything make one sad or scared. The Devil understood the power of information, therefore, he kept using it to send fear into the heart of men. Know that fear is the first agent of the Devil that make a man's life to become soft target for other Satanic attacks. That is why it is important to know how to handle your fear. The scripture said,

"God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and of sound mind."

Therefore, if God has not given us the spirit of fear and you have it, then, it is Satan that has given it to you. Whenever Satan want to send fear, he create scenes that sends fear to men.
In 2 Chronicles 20:1-4. Three kings came together to fight against Jehoshaphat king of Judea, the bible said someone escaped to give Jehoshaphat intelligent report about the development of the Armies of the three nations coming against him, in verse 2 and 3 that when Jehoshaphat heard he was afraid.

"Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. AND JEHOSHAPHAT FEARD, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah."

Sometimes we face issues in life that we do not expect, we were unprepared for and we don't have power to face, these make us afraid.
Though, being afraid might be human but having the spirit of fear is demonic. But to be afraid is not even the problem, as much as the way you handle your fear. On the case of Jehoshaphat the scripture said Jehoshaphat set himself to seek The Lord. And when he did, God spoke to him through Jahaziel and showed him how to handle his fear and how to deal with the case on ground. When he took to the direction of the word of God, he got victory over his enemies.
David also said in Psalm 56 verse, 3-4,

"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me."

So the issue is not that fear will not come to you, but what you do with your fear is what will determine the end result of your life. Jehoshaphat seek The Lord for solution. As for David he said I will TRUST IN THE LORD, and I will remember to PRAISE GOD ON HIS WORD. As for you where will your fear drive you to? what will your fear move you to do? Will it move you close to God or drives far away from God?
If you will do what Jehoshaphat and David did, you will have the same result of victory they had. Anytime you hear a reports that makes you afraid, just turn your hears away from evil reports, and go to listen to the good news that comes from God, his words, his anointed servants, because good news from God produces faith in you, and faith is the only antidote for fear. If you can handle your fear through faith, then victory is sure for you in life.
Prayer Points: Bind every spirit of fear manifesting in any area of your life, and recieve the spirit of love, power and a sound.
