Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:15-16, Ephesians 3:1-5.
The one who can sentence someone to jail is not The Supreme Court in Abuja, nor International Court of Justice in Netherlands. The worst prison, is not Kirikiri in Lagos, Nigeria, nor is it Carandiru Penitentiary in Brazil.
The toughest prison a man can be jailed to, is his/her own mind, and one who can jail a man and that no one can set free is himself or herself. There is no degree of prison that can stop a man, as long has his/her mind is not imprisoned, that man or woman cannot be stopped.
A man in the scripture was jailed several times because they felt his message was causing too much trouble in town, therefore, he was imprisoned to stop him, but they could only imprison his body to limit his movement. But that did not work, instead, the man walked out of the prison, moves into the city, then to the provinces all around, travelled through the world of his generation and straight into many more generations after that including our generation. How did he do that? He did it through his mind, they limited his body by imprisonment but they could not limit his mind. The messages he was not allow to preach with his mouth, he wrote it and send the writings to the Church in his days, that now became the epistles that we are reading today after more than One thousand and Five hundred years of his death.
Imagine if the Paul's Epistle was just preached and not written, what will our generation be reading. Even directly recorded messages of Men of God of 18 Century could not be found and copied, except the few ones that were written for us to read today; let alone the preaching of Paul in 60 A.D.
When Jesus died on the cross one of the miracles that happened in us after giving our lives to Christ is the miracle of mind transformation, which should now be developed as we study scripture. Therefore, do not mess up the great sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, take his word in the Bible and let it change your mind. Think like Christ, see life like him, talk like him, and then you can act like him. If a change is not in your mind it will never show up in your life.
As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Proverb 23:7a.
Whatever you see Jesus Christ doing you can do, because you have the MIND OF CHRIST.
Prayer Point: Oh Lord, let the miracle of mind transformation that I through cross never be in vain in my life, I receive grace to take responsibility to actualize my transformation in Jesus name.
