Bible Reading: Psalm 23:1-6, John 20:26-28.
Many believers have accepted Jesus as their Lord, they have confessed their sins to God, pray the prayer of repentance and have received the salvation of Jesus, even may be many years back, but they have not make him their Lord. So despite their salvation experience, they are still carnal Christians, who cannot be led or control by the spirit, because Jesus is not their Lord.
Look at experience of David, he said, the Lord is my Shepard, therefore, my experience is that I never lack and I shall not lack. How did he came to this super aboundant life? He said because I submitted myself to his lordship. How? David said, in verses 2&3; He makes me....., he led me...... He restores my soul: he leads me.......... If you keep reading you will see how David submitted to the lordship of Christ, and you will also see the result in his life experiences that comes out of his submission to the lordship of Chrsit. Therefore, it becomes important for every believers who want to enjoy God, to receive Jesus has their savior and lord. And this is a personal decision you must make is not a general decision. That's why David said THE LORD IS "MY" SHEPARD, he didn't say "our Shepard". Make this decision today, let Jesus be your Lord,and you let him lead you, guide you, control your time, life and resources, and this will change your entire life positively. it will also make your present life and eternal life secured. Thomas the desciple of Jesus Christ has been following Jesus with a general mentality for 3-years, calling Jesus our master, but the day he has personal encounter with Jesus, he shouted Jesus you are my Lord. John 20:26-28. Until Jesus becomes your lord, your life is not fully secured and you won't experience a definite change.
Prayer Points: Pray that God will give a personal encounter with Jesus today, that will change your decision to make Jesus both your savior and your lord forever.
