Topic: FULFILLED BUT FALSE
Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 13:1-4.
The Lord said from the scripture today that, that a prophet gave a prophesy and it came to pass does not mean that the prophet is genuine. There are many reasons, that can be behind fulfillment of prophecy of a prophet, the first is that because if God is the one speaking through the prophet, and whatever God says He is committed to bring it to pass. Another reason for fulfillment of prophecy is that God will not do something unless He speaks it first, and in that environment, God may not see a qualified vessel, so He make do with the available one, and after bringing the word and God will fulfill it, but later dropped the vessel. That means a man will fail if you think that kind of prophet can bring God's mind to you all the times. Another reason prophecy may come to pass is that if the prophet prophecy with spirit of divination, the evil spirit that brought the word will also fulfill it.
But you need to understand not to fall prey to deception, that because a man brought a prophecy and it came to pass, does not automatically mean that God sent him or that God is using him. The passage today said it is possible for a prophet to bring prophecy and it come to pass, yet the prophet is a false prophet or one who has abandoned God, and derail out of God's way.
Now, how can one know genuine prophets of God? Is that everything they do, should mainly to draw men close to God, to know the only true God, to love him and to walk in his ways. If a prophet you follow does not move close to God, help you to know Him well, and cause you to walk in the way of God, it does not matter the miracle you have seen through him, you are following a false prophet and you will be lost. Matt. 7:16 says; you will know them by their fruits. If their fruits or life manifestation is not righteous, then the prophet is false.
The message to us today is to have the right focus on God, that's our first and major call. Our call is to know, love and walk in the ways of God, and then, He will fulfill all His prophecies and promises to us. Answer this question to yourself, are you just looking for miracles or you are looking for the God that do miracles. When you know God, you not only see miracles but you will do it. God bless you.
