Topic: GOD IS NOT IN WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.
Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19:9-13, Luke 17:20-21.
Many times we missed God, because we try to calculate how God will move, what way he is likely to take to answer our prayers, we try to figure out the way by which he can pass miracle to us. People sometimes thought if God is going to bring prophecy or speak to them it must be some spectacular ways. But know it today that your mind is to small to measure how God will work. Elijah was given an appointment by God to meet with Him on the mountain, when Elijah got there and was waiting for The Lord to come. Suddenly, there was a strong wind, Elijah thought God has come but God was not there, after that was an earthquake, but God was not in the earthquake, then, was the fire but God was not in the fire. After all there comes A STILL SMALL VOICE, and alas, it was The Lord. Then Elijah responded to The Lord. Many times we miss divine encounter because it does not look spectacular. Jesus said to his disciple, that things of the kingdom may not come with special announcement, but many times it comes in quietly, without observation. But you must be sensitive enough with correct understanding of God, not to miss divine move. Because the way God will move to solve your problem will beat your imagination, the pastor God will use, or the church God will use may not look like the one you are looking for. Because He is God, He hide something great inside something small.
Prayer Point: 1. Pray that God will open the eye of your spirit and make you sensitive to divine move of God around you. 2. Bind every spirit of despise that may want to push you to despise what God is using and want to use to get miracles and answers to you.
