PAUL'S CONFESSION OUR OWN ALERT

THE PRECEPTS - Topic: PAUL'S CONFESSION OUR OWN ALERT
Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 2:17-18, 3:6-11.
Many times we find ourselves in situations that seems as if our heart desires are not coming to pass. Dreams seem to be ceased and all efforts are not yielding result. Prophecies are failing and promises seems to be hanging. And when we look at these situations, we sometimes conclude that may be God didn't want me to have what am praying or believing Him for. But many times that is not true, God said in His words to us, that if we can only delight in Him, He will grant all our heart desires.Psalm 37:4. God could not have promised to give you your heart desire and still go ahead to deny you, that is contradicting to God's nature. Your heart desire may not be guarantee if your delight is not in The Lord, because your desire most times will be contradicting the will of God for your life.
But when your desires are not coming to pass, it is not God, but Satan is the one hindering you, more so, when your desire is to promote the kingdom of God, preach the gospel and become a blessing to others. Paul said to the Thessalonians Church, in verses 17, that he was very much desire to come and see them face to face to strenghtening them, but as much as they tried to come SATAN HINDERED THEM.
17  But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
18  Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but SATAN HINDERD US
Imagine the kind of faith Paul has, his position in the church and the body of Christ, his level of knowledge and his achievement in the gospel, if Satan can hindered Paul, then, that is an alert to all of us. This is not to make us scared and be worried, neither is it to show how powerful Satan is, no, but to give us understanding of who to approach when it seems like something good is been denied of you. Paul after this confession went ahead to give them what the way out to stop the Devil from hindering. And that was supplied in chapter 3 verse 10&11. Paul said "night and day pray exceedingly" As we wrestle with those forces by the power in the name and the blood of Jesus, standing on the word of God, satan will let go of whatever we desire for, and our desires shall certainly be granted unto us.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will release on you the strength to pray and pray through. And begin to resist every power of Satan and that of his agents, command them to take their hands off everything that belong to you in Jesus name.
