IF JESUS CAN DO IT FOR A DOG

THE PRECEPTS -: Topic: IF JESUS CAN DO IT FOR A DOG
Bible Reading: Matthew 15:22-28
At the first coming of Jesus to the earth, during his earthly ministry, Jesus was not sent to all the earth but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. That was why Jesus answered his disciples when they saw him ignoring the plea of the woman from Canaan to help her concerning her daughter, and the disciples asked Jesus to send the woman away, then Jesus told them reason why he couldn't answer the woman, in verse 24 Jesus He answered and said, I am not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. So Jesus was not first of all, sent to any nation but Israel at his first coming, but after his earthly ministry he went to the cross at Calvary and his death on the cross open the door of salvation to the Gentiles nations through out the world. That was why Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:11-13, 11 Therefore remember that you, the nations, in time past were in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 and that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who were once afar off are made near by the blood of Christ. Before it was only Isreal that can be called son of God, God told Pharoh through Moses that Isreal was His first born, so only Isreal could be called the son of God, all other nations are like dog. That was why Jesus said to the woman who was pleading for her daughter's deliverance, Jesus said, sorry the bread that I carry presently now is only meant for the children, and we cannot take children's bread and give it to dog. And the woman agreed that Jesus was right for calling her dog, but she pleaded if the bread of the children is not available then let her have the crumbs of the bread that fell from the table of the children. And Jesus was moved by the faith of the woman, that she was not discouraged despite been ignored, she didn't feel offended though she was insulted, but she stood her ground with Jesus in faith, until she got what she needed. And Jesus said to her great is your faith, go home your desire is granted, at that very hour her daughter was healed. When Jesus saw the woman's faith, though going by the package of the healing Jesus was carrying that time, the woman naturally don't have a portion, because the portions of blessing that Jesus carried that time was only for the children, and the woman was a dog according to the covenant that time, but when Jesus saw the faith of a dog, Jesus cannot allowed her to go empty, he has to look for a portion for her, even if it's the crumbs for the children's bread. But that crumbs was enough to give the woman satisfactory desires she needed. Now imagine if a dog can get her needs met, imagine how much the children should be enjoying if they can only move in faith. If you are born again then you are a son of God and not a dog, therefore, if you can come to Jesus in faith you will be forever satisfied, if he can satisfy a dog and meet her needs, you as a son will certainly enjoy him much more.
Prayer Points: Prayer that God will open your eyes of understanding that you may know what God has in store for you as a son.
