Topic: BEWARE OF SATANIC NEGOTIATION Part 1
Bible Reading: Exodus 8:25-27, Colossians.1:12-13
The plan of the Devil is to keep everybody perpetually in bondage. When a man determined to be free from the bondage of the Devil, the next thing Satan will do is to invite that individual to a negotiation table, to negotiate their deliverance. The Devil knows that for a man to be totally free from bondage, it takes only Jesus to set the person free. Jesus said if the Son set you free, only then can you be totally and permanently free. Any freedom that does not emanate from Jesus, is a temporary relief. And a man's freedom starts the day he/she submitted his/her life for Jesus, by being born again. When he/she has genuine salvation it resulted in total change of life, is a deliverance from the power of darkness and translation or transfer into the kingdom of his dear son.
So when a person decides to give his life to Jesus and be free from Satan's bondage, Satan start to negotiate for the freedom of the person. And the first negotiations of the Devil is over the individual's genuine salvation. We saw this happened in the experience of the children of Israel, when God sent Moses to free them in the land of Egypt from under the bondage of Pharaoh, from the passage quoted above. We saw Pharaoh negotiating with Moses over the people's freedom in Exodus 8, verse 25. "And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, GO YE, SACRIFICE TO YOUR GOD IN THE LAND."
Pharaoh suggested for Moses, I will let the people go on with the sacrifice to their God, only if they agree to do it in the land of Egypt. This is contrary to God's promise for Isreal because God's plan is to deliver them from the land of Egypt and from the hand of Pharaoh, that they may serve Him. But Moses replied in verse 27, we will go three days....... and sacrifice to the Lord our, AS HE SHALL COMMANDED US. Every freedom from the bondage of Satan, must be as the Lord shall command it. Let your salvation experience be as the word of the Lord commanded.
Beware of this same negotiations because it still goes on today. Many people claim to be children of God, and desire for freedom. But the Devil is negotiating over their salvation, he is telling them to go on and serve God, only that they don't do it as the Lord commands. Do sacrifice to your God, Pharaoh said, but don't totally go away from the land and from my reach. So many are going to church but no difference has taken place in their lives that showed that they have changed. They give their service to God but still in the darkness. Such people don't get out of darkness they only add Jesus to their old life and never give their lives to him. They claim to have accepted Christ but has never make him to be their Lord. They claim to be new but old things are still present in their lives. Such people sings in choir, served has ushers, pray like thunder but the same sinful life of the past still dominate their lives.
That is equal to Pharaoh's negotiation over Israelites, Pharaoh said, go sacrifice to your God, but you must do it in the land Egypt, land of bondage, sins and darkness. Pharaoh knew whatever they do in the land to their God, they are still in bondage, they are not free yet. Whatever Pharaoh wants to do with them or use them for, they are still available in the land.
So is it with a man thinking to have been freed from Satan's bondage, because he/she now engaged in seemingly spiritual exercises without an encounter with Jesus that produces genuine salvation and a new life in Christ, is a deceptive freedom. 1 John 3:8a, says He that commits, practices, make sin to be his lifestyle, is of the Devil. Meaning it does not matter what you do in church or in religion, without an encounter with Jesus that resulted in a new life. Is still a life of bondage. Don't just be religious give your life to Christ genuinely and you shall be free from the bondage of Satan.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will reveal to you any area where satanic negotiation is going on your life. And bind them in the name of Jesus.
