THE PRECEPTS - Topic: ARE YOU LED OR LURED?
Bible Reading: Luke 4:1-14.
It is not difficult to differentiate between receiving direction by the Holy Spirit and the direction by the Devil. The Holy Spirit gives you direction with respect to your will to accept or reject his direction, While the Devil uses every means to pull you into his direction. Holy Spirit does his own by leading you, while Devil does his own by luring or enticing you. So it is easy for you to judge in making decisions in live by asking yourself, am I been led or am been lured? In the Holy Spirit's leading you may have no natural reason for going towards that direction, but in the Devil's luring you will move towards that direction by putting into consideration what to gain and what to loose. It's important to know that there are many things to gain, when we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, which our brain will be too small and short to see naturally.
Jesus Christ was been led by the Holy Ghost into the wilderness, naturally that was not a sensible place to go, but that is where God has prepared for him the power that he needed for his destiny. So after his experience in the wilderness where he was been led to, he returned in the power of the Spirit, then his fame went everywhere. Jesus had another experience in the same wilderness, when the Devil came to hijack leading from the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus, using different things to lure his and enticed him, but Jesus stayed with the leading of the Holy Spirit though it does not look appealing at the initial stage.
Many people like fame, but don't want to be led of the Holy Spirit, or if at all there will be leading from the Holy Spirit, they want to be led to a place they like. You need to move your life from doing the likeness of God into doing the will of God indiscriminately, make up your mind either you like it or not, you will be committed to doing his will. And God's glory will shine on you, and the effect of your destiny will be felt across the nations of the earth.
Prayer Point: Pray for grace to yield to the leadings of the Holy Spirit, and to reject the deceptions of the devil everyday of your life.
