Topic: UNDERSTANDING SEASONS.
Bible Reading: Luke 22:35-36.
It is important for all children of God to pray for the wisdom that can help them to read seasons of life. Not all seasons are the same, and what was relevant in the last season may not be relevant in this new season. The instructions that you received last season may not be the instructions that you will need for this present season, so it is important for you to develop a hearing hear to the Holy Spirit the controller of time and season.
Jesus said to his disciples at a time when I sent you out last time, I gave you an instruction not to take purse, scrip, nor shoes, did you lack anything for the journey? They answered him we lacked nothing. The reason why they lacked nothing was, because the provision for that assignment that time was in the away of the assignment, so they don't need to take anything with them. Again in verse 36; Jesus was sending them out, and he told them not to follow the last instruction, "BUT NOW, he that has purse should take it along". Why? Because the provisions for the assignment this time will be provide at home before they embark on the journey.
It is the same God, but different seasons, different instructions and different methods. That is how to walk with God, and not surfer or loose. If you try to build a norm out of a special divine move of God, which was connected to a divine instruction to you at time of life, you may be surprised that nothing will happen. God always have wonderful things for you, but most time believers missed those things, because they failed to connect the present instruction of God.
Jehoshaphat when he was to go with the king of Isreal to battle, he requested if they find a prophet that can tell them what God is saying presently. 1 Kings 22:4-5, in verse 5 "And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, AT THE WORD OF THE LORD FOR TODAY". Meaning there is an instruction for your yesterday life and there is an instruction for your today, and at every season you need to know what God is saying now at that time, and to connect to what God is saying now, to have what God is doing now.
May you receive that heart like Jehoshaphat to always learn how to connect to the word of God for now, for each seasons of your life.
