Topic: PURPOSE OF DELIVERANCE
Bible Reading: Exodus 8:1, Luke 1:74-75.
"And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, THAT THEY MAY SERVE ME."
People loved to be delivered, because deliverance is very good, freedom from Satanic holds, from spiritual problems, from poverty, from sickness, from pains, from emotional breakdown and so on. If you ever be in the bondage before, then you will appreciate Liberty a lot. But when many received deliverance from bondage, they abused it because they do not know the purpose of God for giving them deliverance. And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.When you don't know purpose of a thing, abuse is inevitable. So it is important if deliverance will not complicate your life, you must understand its purpose and must let it serve its purpose.
Like I hear a man of God saying sometimes ago he was praying for the sick in a meeting, and as he was praying, a man on a wheelchair was wheeled to this man of God for his prayer, as the man was about to pray for him, the Spirit of the Lord asked the man of God to ask the man on the wheelchair what he will do first, after God delivered him from the sickness, and the man said the first thing he will do after his healing is that he will go to club and celebrate with his friends, having heard this, the man of God asked them to wheel the man away un-prayed for.
Is it that God does not want to heal him? No. But the man's reason for looking for healing was not right.
James 4:3 says, "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."
It says you do not receive because you want to use it on selfish motives. The Passion Translation says, "And if you ask, you won't receive it for you're asking with CORRUPT MOTIVES, SEEKING ONLY TO FULFILL YOUR OWN SELFISH DESIRES."
Until your purpose for deliverance tallying with that of God, you won't see it.
God sent Moses, go and tell Pharaoh let my people go. Then he spelt out his purpose for their deliverance, and that is, THAT THEY MIGHT SERVE ME. Luke 1:74 also said, the purpose of God for your deliverance is that you will serve God without fear.
What is your purpose for your deliverance, your healing and divine health, your prosperity, your breakthrough in life, business, career, marriage etc. If it is just for you to enjoy alone you will not get it, your purpose must fall in line with the purpose of God for you, when this happened, your deliverance is guaranteed.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will straighten out your purpose, that your purpose will be in line with God's purposes for your life in everything.
