THE PRECEPTS- Topic: CREATING ALTER FOR YOUR DESTINY
Bible Reading: Genesis 8:18-21.
Alter is defined by English Dictionary to me; make a deference, make an alteration, to modify, cause a change, to modify etc.
Looking at this definitions it makes this study more interesting. Now let's look at the meaning of Alter from spiritual perspective.
Alter can be defined as point of contact where a certain effect is made. It is a place of decision making in the spirit which affect life of a person in the physical.
You read in the bible regularly about patriarchs of faith building alter after a certain encounter with God. Starting from Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the rest.
Now look at Noah.
20 " And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done."
After Noah came out of the Ark, he built an alter unto The Lord and offer burnt offering there to God, when smell the sweet odour of it, God reacted, and God's reaction brought an alteration or modification to His decision that He will not smite man again, according to English dictionary definition. What Noah altered or modified, changed was that, (1).God decided, He will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake. (2).God said He will not again smite any more every living thing. That shows us the great importance of alter. So, if anything is unpleasant is going on in your life that you don't like, you can alter it by raising an alter unto the Lord in prayer. If you don't have effectively working alter, the Devil will alter your destiny program.
Prayer Points: Pray that God release on you grace to raise for yourself an effectively working prayer alter.
