Topic: DISCOVERY OF POTENTIAL Part 2
Bible Reading: Genesis 25:23-27, Luke 16:3
From the study we started yesterday, on discovering your potentials, it is important to make you know that you must recognise that there are two kinds of people on the earth, you are bound to fall into one of them according to Genesis. 25:27; "And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents." The two people on the earth are:
i Esua's kinds of people - These are the people who believes in using thier energy to pursue success in life. No hunter has a settled life because there life achievement is in how much animals he can chase or set trap for. So it is a physical work. That is Esau, a skillful hunter, man of the field.
ii Jacob's kinds of people - These are men who believes in the use of their mind to make head way in life. They settle down and use thier mind to navigate through life. Those are inventors, they birth what others has not done, or make better what other people have invented. Jacob a gentle man, dwelling in tent. These are the second set of human beings on the earth, so which of the two categories do you fall into.
The steward in Luke 16:3, give us a very good understanding of that truth. That from the study of yourself in discovering your potential, you study yourself by dividing the area of your strength into two. The man said, I can not dig, to beg am ashamed. This man divided his strenght,
1. Physical strength - "I cannot dig..." Energy.
2. Mental strength - "Am ashamed to beg" Mind, Mental, or Emotional strength.
You need to measure your potential in these two ways, for you to discover what you could do, but the one who succeeded most are those who dig deep inside them to deliver to thier generation what God has put in them. May you discover yourself for impact in good time in Jesus name.
