DAILY PRECEPTS DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Topic: DIVINE TAKE OVER.
Bible Reading: 1 kings 1:5-18, 2:12-15.
This is about the story of Adonijah how he prepared to replace his father (David) as a king over Israel all by himself, and he began gathering the people, and also everyone in the city already expected him as the legitimate child and natural heir to the throne to take over the kingdom after his father. The scripture says, David his father heard of it but he didn't say anything to stop him from his adventure. But after a while prophet Nathan came to Bathsheba and reminded her what God said to David, that his seed through Bathsheba that will reign as King after David, but the opposite is happening now, Adonijah is almost becoming the king. Then, he moved her gave her wisdom to go and claim what God said to David, which he himself promised to do for any child born by Bathsheba. Then she came with other people to claim the throne in line with God's word and promise of David to Bathsheba, then the king moved and made Solomon to become the next king, instead of Adonijah. Then Adonijah testified to it that the kingdom turned to become Solomon's own because it was for Solomon from the Lord.
You see the main points here is that, if Bathsheba didn't rise to claim what was their own from the Lord and promised to them by David, they would have lost the throne and another person would be become king. So you need to know that something was promised to you by God does not mean it would happen for you, unless you know how to lay claim on it. The promises of God to you will only happen for you, when you decide to claim what is yours.
Veil Pray that God open your eyes to things that are yours from him and receive wisdom to claim all that are yours.
