Topic: FIGHT  YOUR BATTLE WITH WORDS.

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 17:41-50, Psalm 20:8-9.

People of God lost battles of life against them because they don't know how to fight the battles of life correctly. They allowed Satan to confuse them on how to fight, and the strategy to use to win. David, one of the greatest warriors of his days, a man who fought several battles and never lost anyone, said in one of his writings in Psalms 20:8,

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God".

Now, the chariots and the horses are physical things, but the name of the Lord is not a physical thing, it is a word, it's spiritual. So David said, when others are putting trust in physical weapons to fight, he will engaged his words by calling on the name of the Lord. And the result was, those who trust in physical weapons are falling but those who trust in the name of the are rising.

Goliath understood this secret, when he engaged David in battle, the scriptures said in vs.43 that the giant cursed David in the name of his gods, then in vs.45 David replied the Philistine and said, I  come to you in the name of the Lord. 

He knew so well that no matter what weapons you take with you to the battle, until you make it spiritual, you can never win that battle. And so to win a battle, fight in the name of the Lord and say what God has said over and over on what you are dealing with, until you win.

So it is important to know that to win in life, you must learn the use of weapons of your mouth the name of the Lord and word of God. When you take up your battle in your marriage, business, academics, finance. When you go for medical help to fight sickness and disease in your body, join your words to it. When you take time to study and work hard to fight failure in your life, join your words to it. Whatever you are doing in life to succeed, join your words to it and make it spiritual, the scriptures says, it is what you say that you will get. May you continue to experience victories in all areas of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer Points: Pray that God will circumcised your heart and mouth, and to take responsibility to fill it with God's word, so that you use it positively to your own benefit in life, in Jesus name.
