Topic: SOMETHING TO PLUG-IN WHEN EVERYTHING FAILED - 2
Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 9:1-13.
Yesterday we looked into MERCY OF GOD as one of the things to hang on when everything failed. Today we want to look at another thing to hang on and that is THE KINDNESS OF GOD.
We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
There are many things that are the result of the operation of these two. Mercy and Kindness of God, but we see when God showed His Kindness through David to Mephibosheth, and the effects of God's kindness on a man..
1. It makes people you know or you don't know remember you for good without begging for it. Mephibosheth was hidden somewhere called Lodebar, thinking the last has come, things would never be better again, he lost his father, grandfather, and his siblings killed for envy, others were killed as atonement for the sin of his grandfather. And the man that suppose to take revenge of his grandfather on him, suddenly remembered him for good. That kind of result is not a function of what Mephibosheth has done but the kindness of God.
2. It restores to a man the lost glory, either in his life or his linage. David said to Mephibosheth, the land of your father I will return them unto you. Imagine how long it will take Mephibosheth a lame man to work to gather money much enough to buy back those lands that his royal family had lost, but on the platform of the kindness of God through David, Mephibosheth got them free of charge, all within 24 hours.
3. It changes a man's level. It lifts a man to a position you can't reach on your own. David said to him, you shall eat from my table like one of the king's sons. Despite his physical challenge, yet as a lame man the kindness of God found him out and changed his story forever. May you found the kindness of God all your life and your story changed for good for live in Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Pray that you will be positioned at the angle of the kindness of God and be plugged in it in all areas of your life in Jesus name
