Bible Reading: Luke 2:8-15, Romans 14:4-6.
Many people have vaulted why the birth of Jesus should be 25th December, they said that day is the day they worship a god. The question is that if it is not 25th December, which date then should it be? So if no one can get us exact date, then the date does not matter to me than what I believe I am celebrating. Those people who said it should not be 25th December believed an history told them, I that agreed with 25th December also choose to believe history I met, so what we do is about believe not about the date. But the most important thing is that Jesus Christ was born and we choose a date to celebrate that. Either yours is January 14, or that of others is July 18th, and mine is December 25th, none has sinned ones we direct our celebration to the birth of the king of kings and Lord of lords. Now, what is the important of the birth of Jesus, this introduce many things to mankind.
1. It usher in the savoir of the world, for his name shall be Jesus which means HE SHALL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS. The problem of man started with sin, and to deal with that sin must be dealt with first and that is the first reason behind the birth of Jesus.
2. He was born to restore glory to God whom all glory belongs. Because of sin in the life of men, Satan has been taking glory on earth through death, sickness, poverty, sorrows, failures, and many more. But Jesus was born so that, has he reigns in your life he can restore glory to God through life, prosperity, health, blessings, success and a lot more.
3. It brings peace to all men. As many that cares to receive him, his peace shall be the experience of their lives for the Prince of peace himself has taken over in their heart.
So Jesus was not born to live like every other children, his birth was so special and it's to bring a new life to mankind, that was why even Angels came to the earth to praise for men, because Jesus was born. Therefore, be sure that you have fully given your life to Jesus so that the purpose of his birth can be a reality in your life. And go on celebrating the birth of one who came to save you and I, no matter the day you choose and don’t let any man judge you by the date. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY READERS.
