Topic: LIVING ABOVE THE FLESH - 2

Bible Reading: John 6:63, Psalm 119:9-11.

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU, THEY ARE SPIRIT, and they are life."

Yesterday we started looking into the solution to many believers heart cry of how to be freed from the hold of sin. From our scriptures yesterday, it says the antidote to sin is to walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the sinful desire of the flesh. A lot of Christians do wonder what does it mean to walk in the spirit? It simply means a life that is no more control by the flesh or the worldly desires but by the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. But the simple way to start this life is to start living in line with what the word of God says about issues of life.

Your ability to submit to the word of God will keep building you up in the things of the Spirit. Jesus said the word of God spoken to you that is the Spirit, and if you walk in it, it will quicken your life unto God to live a life pleasing to Him.

David in his Psalm revealed the secret, that the way to cleanse yourself from sin and iniquity is by taken heed to God's word, and the way to keep away from sin is to hid God's word in your heart. I want you to have a different approach to the word of God henceforth, it is the seed of God in you, and in it is the power to live above sin and make you become like God.

Prayer Point: Pray that God will give grace to have a better understanding of His word and to connect to the power in it that transform in Jesus name.
