Bible Reading: Psalm 90:12, 139:16-18.
This word came on my spirit this morning as I woke up to pray, and I thought over the messages, greetings, prayers and gifts sent to me yesterday as I celebrated my birthday. And then, I understood what David said in his book;
"So teach us to NUMBER OUR DAYS, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom."
David didn't say teach us to count our days. No. He said teach us to NUMBER our days. Many people only count their days, as it turns to months and years to know how old they have been on the earth. But very few number their days to know what they have achieved on the earth.
For example if you happen to be in a hall full of chairs, and you were asked to bring chair number 100. If the chairs in th hall are numbered at the back or front, you will enter the hall and start checking until you found chair number 100, if they ask ten different people to bring chair 100, they will all bring the same chair, because the chairs are numbered. But if the chairs does not carry number, all the ten people will bring different chair as chair 100 depending on where they started counting the chairs in the hall from.
That was what David was trying to teach us to number not counting our days. The scriptures in Psalm 139:16 says;
"You saw me before I was born and SCHEDULED EACH DAY OF MY LIFE BEFORE I BEGAN TO BREATHE. Every day was recorded in your book!"
To schedule means to make plan on the time and place an event will occur. So according to the scripture it means every single day of your life are planed with time, place and event, so when you clock an age there is something you should have become and done, not just for yourself but for God and for others. Living DAILY to achieve these is what David was trying to communicate as numbering your days.
°° best life ever spent are not been recognised by how much you have achieved for yourself in gathering wealth or making name for yourself, but the best of your life is seen in how much you have lived for the Lord and how much impact you have made on men for God. That is what David meant by APPLY OUR HEART TO WISDOM, to go after things that will last, not things that will fade away. Every other things will not follow you out of this world, they end up here in the world. But your life lived for Christ and the impact you have made on men for Christ, will be waiting for you as a reward in heaven at feet of the master..
Prayer Points: Pray that God will wake up your consciousness spiritually and naturally to spend your life on things that matters and that will last beyond this natural world.
NOTICE: And I want to say special thank you for all your messages, prayers and gifts send to me, God bless you.
