Bible Reading: Isaiah 12:1-5, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
You're welcome to the first Monday of the year 2021, the first full working day of the year, I pray for you that as you move on in your endeavor this year, may you be fruitful and be productive in Jesus name. I want to share a very important secret for a successful living today has laid on my spirit by the Holy Ghost. And this is to give place for joy and never loose it, deal with and attack anything that want take away your joy.
Imagine yourself very very thirsty, you desperately need water to quench your thirst, and suddenly you happened to see a very clean well, people confirmed to you it is a very naturally pure cold drinkable water, but the challenge is that there is no drawer to draw the water from the well and the well is very deep. Then, without the drawer to take water from the deep well, what benefit is the water to you. That is exactly how a man's life is, when you pray, fast, work hard, go to church, read bible, trying to do everything but out of it all joy is not in your heart. That is what describe a man who found water in a well but has no drawer to get the water. Isaiah 12:11 says
"Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation"
This shows the place of joy in your life if any blessing will flow to you. Paul said "Rejoice ever more, I said it again rejoice". He said this knowing the power and place of joy in your life for any accomplishment. So if there is also one thing in your life to protect, it is your joy, because without it you become helpless in life. What are the things you can do to have and to protect a lasting joy? You need to look to Jesus to be the source of your joy in life. If your joy is in any other thing rather than Jesus it is not going to last, if you have joy because you have money at hand or bank, because you have a well paid job, because you're now married, bought a new car or phone and the rest, if on this your joy is based it is never going to last, it is just a temporary one, only the joy rooted in Christ through his words that is a permanent joy. And only that kind of joy can be strong enough to carry water from the well of salvation and get it to you. Nehemiah 10:8 says the joy of the Lord that is our strength.
Salvation is full of healing, deliverance, answered prayers, blessing, favor, success and the rest. But though you desire to have them, prayed and fasted for it, if joy is missing in your life, nothing will happen. Therefore, I challenge you today to pray to the Lord to fill you with his joy and you consciously protect it, and see how productive your life will be in this new year in Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Pray for baptism of the joy of the Lord in your life, for your greater impact in Jesus name, bind the spirit of sorrow, discouragement, frustration around you in Jesus name.
