Topic: DRALING WITH THE HINDRANCE.
Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 2:17-18, 3:6-11.
At times we find ourselves in situations that it seems as if our heart desires are not coming to pass. Dreams seems hanging and all efforts are not yielding result. Prophecies are seems to be failing and promises not fulfilled. And many tends to conclude that may be God didn't want them to have the things they ask for. But that is not true,
God said in Psalm 84:11b ."....no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."
Psalm 37:4 says that if you only "delight in the Lord; and He shall give you your heart desires."
God would not have promised to give you your heart desire and still go ahead to deny you them. Though, you need to know that your heart desire will not be granted, if your delight is not in the Lord, because unless you delight in the Lord, your desires most times will be contradicting the will of God for your life. That is the first reason many desires are been hindered by Satan.
Another reason many desires are not coming to pass? It is because Satan is the one hindering your desires. When your desire is to promote the kingdom of God, preach the gospel and become a blessing to others, Satan will do everything to hinder you.
Paul said in First Thessalonians verses 17, that he was very much desire to come and see the brethren so he can strengthening them, but as much as he tried to visit the brethren, SATAN HINDERED HIM.
Paul now gave the solution to stop the Devil from hindering you, in chapter 3 verse 10 Paul said "night and day pray exceedingly....". Don't forget what they wanted to do before but Satan hindered them, but by the force of prayer, the impossible shall be made possible.
Imagine the kind of faith of Paul, his position in the church and the body of Christ, his level of knowledge and his achievement in the gospel, yet, Satan did not exclude him from the attack, he tried to hinder him. Then that is an alert to all of us, and this is not to scare us, neither is it to show how powerful Satan is, no!
But to give understanding of who to approach when it seems like something good is been delayed in your life. Wrestle with those forces of darkness by the power in the name and the blood of Jesus, standing on the word of God in faith, and satan will let go of whatever things that are yours. And your desires shall certainly be granted to you in Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Pray to receive the strength to pray and resist every power of Satan and command him to take his hands off everything that belongs to you, and claim what is yours in Jesus name
