DAILY PRECEPTS DEVOTIONAL STUDY
Topic: WHAT DO YOU REPRESENTS.
Bible Reading: Genesis 31:41-42, 53.
It is important to know that what a parent represents to the children about God is what the children would learn about God.
What a child would learn about God will be determined by what he/she saw his/her parents or guidian doing as far as God is concern. See Jacob in this passage we read, what He called God, he called Him the God of Abraham and fear of Isaac.
That shows with everything he saw his father doing in the house, the fear of God of his father was always the reference of Isaac to his children. So the best and only way they can describe God is to call Him the God of Abraham and fear of Isaac.
If your children will describe God what would they say God is? What they say about God, is a reflection of what they see of your relationship to God.
Proverb 22:6 says; "Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life." TPT
The best way to train them up is to live the kind of life you want them to learn. I pray that God shall teach your children and you shall represent God well to them in Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will give you grace to live right and represents God well to your children in Jesus name.
