Topic: THE CROSS, THE WISDOM OF GOD.
Bible Reading: Romans 1:23-25, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
The cross is not just a sign to be used as chain pedant, but the the reality of the expression of God's power that brings salvation to man kind through grace of God. But many believers are ashamed of sharing the good news of the cross with others because, naturally it does not make common sense.
Paul said, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believe....Rom.1:16.
We need to know that as long as we want to see the common sense in the cross you are not going to accept it, the cross does not work that way of common sense, it works the way of faith, the only way is to first believe the cross, and if you are not going to believe the cross the power of it will not be released towards you.
Paul said in 1st Corinthians 1:20, that the Scholars, the Philosophers and the Debaters of this world cannot know God through their own wisdom. Why? Because the cross can't be naturally explained, it can only be revealed to you, and it is the wisdom of God and power of God, when it is revealed to you. When you believe it, you connect yourself to the power of God that bring salvation to man. Salvation is not only deliverance from sin, but also from the consequences of sin, sicknesses, poverty, failure, frustrations, sorrow and so on.
But how do you believe correctly? If your believing in the cross will be acceptable to God then it must be based on what the scripture has spoken about the cross, not what you think, not what you assumed, but your faith must be in the written word of God.
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, Paul kept on saying according to the scripture, that all he has received and preached about the cross are product of what he believed the scripture said about the cross.
The simplicity of the gospel is that you sinned in Adam, and wages of sin is death, but the death you should have died Jesus died it for you on the cross at Calvary, believing this will activate the power of salvation for you.
So the only way you can activate God's power to your life is through the gospel of Christ by the scriptures, believed in the scripture and God's power through cross shall be released towards you..HAPPY EASTER TO YOU.
Prayer point: Pray that God will give you the correct revelation of the cross, so your faith can stand in it and you can work it to your own benefit in life in Jesus name.
