Topic: ALIVE BUT NOT HIMSELF
Bible Reading: Joshua 9:16 - 27
Many people are alive but they are not themselves, what we see is just the shadow of the reality of such people in destiny. They are not dead but they are far from what God want them to be in destiny. They are not satisfy with life, not because they are too demanding, but they knew right withing themselves that they are living either far below thier dream and vision or they are not even near it at all. Many time, is not because God designed it so, but something went wrong somewhere. One of such is what we see in the experience of the men of Gebionites with the Isrealites. The Gebionites were afraid of engaging the Isrealites in a battle, so they scheme out a strategy to deceive the Isrealites into entrying a covenant of peace with them, pretending they came from a far distance purposely to seek peace with the Isrealites. The elders of Isreal not making any enquiry entered into covenant with the Gebionites, but later discovered that they have been deceived. Men of Irealites were infuriated by this, wanted to fight the Gebionites but elders of Isreal stopped them. And Joshua asked them why they lied, and they explained they were frightened by the victories God has been given to Isrealites over other nations, that is why they did that to avoid battle. Then, elders of Isreal said in vs 20-21, we will let them live...., but they will never be themselves in their destiny, we will make them hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the people. Meaning if a Gebionites was destined to be a doctor or a Proff. By that incident the highest he can be, is to end up in cutting down woods for the Isrealites or fetch water. They were alive but not themselves. Vs.27 said, "Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water......unto this day". God created the Gebionites to be something great but Joshua recreated them to be something else by the cursed placed on them that day.
Prayer Points: Pray against the forces that want you to be alive but not in your correct destiny position, that their power break loose away from your life in Jesus name.
