Topic: SELF OR GOD, WHO IS YOUR SOURCE?
Bible Reading: Genesis 13:7-15
You have to ask yourself daily on the decisions you make per time, if you or God is the source of it. Whatever it is the source comes from man don't always last, and that which originated from God will always stand and last. Abraham requested Lot to separate from him to avoid quarrel, choose any place you like and I will move to the other side. Vs.10 said "And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw..." Vs.11 says "Then Lot chose FOR HIMSELF....". After Lot has chosen and moved. Vs.14 says "And The Lord said to Abram after Lot had separated from him: Lift your eyes now and look...". Now if you examine those verses very well, the same process Lot used to choose a place for himself, by lifting up his eyes and look, is the same way Abram used, by lifting up eyes and look, but the sorce of their move to make their choices were different. After they have made their choices, the end result showed that Lot was wrong and Abraham was right. Lot lost everything he had before he left Abraham for Sodom and Gomorah in the plain of Jordan, because the source of his choice was in the flesh and selfish. But where Abram went to he became possessor of the whole world, because his own source was godly, he lifted up his eyes by God's leading and not by human calculation. For you to have a lasting, progressive and productive life, let your decisions, choices and actions be based on divine leading. Two of you can do the same thing and have different result like Abraham and Lot, based on who is the source of what you are doing. Are you making your choice in life by yourself or by God's leading. Decide from today on, not to do what you see others doing, but to do only what God is telling you to do.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will create in you desire to love Him and love His will for your life. 2. Pray that God will give you the ear that hears, eye that sees and heart that perceive the voice of God to you.
