THE PRECEPTS - Topic: POWERFUL TRUTHS YOU SHOULD KNOW - Part 2.
Bible Reading: 1 John 4:4, John 16:33"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".
From the last edition we started a topic on the powerful truths you should know about yourself in Christ. When you are in Christ you are not an ordinary person any more, but the devil always rob us of our rights in God because we are ignorant of the truth about ourselves. That is why this teaching is important to you. Last edition we observed the first truth and that is You are of God. If you are born again you are born of God and that makes you to be of God and not of yourself nor of your parents, you are originally owned by God. God takes cares of you in every areas of your life.
The second truth you should know is that YOU HAVE OVERCOME THEM. Mind you the scripture didn't say you are going to overcome later or that you are trying to overcome, nor that you may overcome them. No! It says You have overcome them. The battle going on in your life right now and the ones that will shows up later you have overcome them. God does not speak from the past rather He speaks of the present from the future. So He sees you as an overcomer ones you have been born of God. The scripture said in 1 John 5:4; "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith".
This is a powerful truth about you that you should know. The battle going on in your life, your finance, marrital, career, business, academic, health etc, that battle will not see your end you are the one that will see its end, why? Because the truth is that before the battle began you have already overcomed them. All you need to do for yourself is that developed your faith, for that is what bring you the reality of your victory in life. It's a fact that you are going through some battles, but the truth is that you have overcome them, even before the battles begin.
Jesus said in John 16:33 that we shall see tribulation but we should be cheerful and maintain our peace, for he has overcome the world for us. So his victory over the world is our victory forever. The fact is that we can't deny that devil will bring tribulations to us as long as he is still in the world and you and I are here too. But no matter what the devil brings to you you can always win, because the truth is that you have overcome them. But I will like to share with you what you need to do to claim your victory always in life. No matter what happen to you in life, for you to win,
i). Never let the devil take away your joy. Always be hopeful that God is bringing help to you, because you know that you have overcome them.
ii). Always be patient with God. You may not see physically for now what God is working for you, but you believe that God is working things for you, and you are going to wait on him until He bring your victory to reality. Wait patiently on God, He who will come shall come.
iii). Always be in prayer. Be constant in prayer, not emotional prayer, not a beggarlly prayer, but prayer of faith that will secure you victory. Lack of a strong prayer life is the first attacks of the devil to make you live a defeated life. So if you will enjoy the victory that Christ has given you, then you need to build a strong prayer life.
If you do these three, you shall certainly work in the reality of the victory that Chrsit has given to us. So the second truth I want to show you about yourself is that YOU HAVE OVERCOME THEM.
