THE PRECEPTS - Topic: POWERFUL TRUTHS YOU SHOULD KNOW - Part 1.
Bible Reading: 1 John 4:4, Matthew 6:25-34
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".
According to Apostle John in his book, the Holy Spirit gave us these three powerful truths you should know and understand, these truths will transform you and change your attitude to life in general. These truths can only be understood and enjoyed by those who are saved by the blood of Jesus, those who are born again, those who have become a new creature in Christ. These truths are;
First truth is that; You are of God. You are not of the Devil, you are not even of your parents they are only a care taker. You are of God. That's why the scripture says when my father and mother forsake me, The Lord will take you up. Psalm 27:10. Why? Because you originally belong to God and not your parents. So if you need a life partner talk to God not your parents. You need to pay for school fees, you need to go for education in abroad, pay for rents, buy clothes, needs food, don't cry to your your parents, don't let the Devil tells you if your parents can not do it then it is finish, that is not true. Talk to the one you really belong to, that is God, is your real father.
That's why Jesus thought us to pray saying "OUR FATHER WHO HATH IN HEAVEN". He is your father, the only thing is that He lives in heaven. He is most kind, most rich, most powerful of all. He takes care of the birds of the air on daily basis, he protects them and feed them. Jesus said see the birds of the air, YOUR FATHER, not thier father (God is the father of the birds of the air though he created them) but God is your father, and is so rich He feeds, cloth, and protects the birds of the air, all of them as many as they are. Scripture said, no birds in the air fall down as a result of stone throw except God allows it. Therefore, He will take very good care of you, you have much more value than the birds of the air. If He so takes care of the birds of the air, He will certainly take care of you, because YOU ARE OF GOD.
