THE PRECEPTS - Topic: DIVINE TIMING FOR DIVINE PROPHECIES
Bible Reading: Joshua 14:6-14.
The scripture told us how Caleb went to Joshua to ask for the mountain which God by prophecy from the mouth of Moses has given him, when they went to spy out the promised land. For 45years this man never requested for the land, because he knew the timing for the prophecy was not yet, but at a time during the leadership of Joshua over Isreal in Joshua chapter 14:12 Caleb said unto Joshua; "NOW therefore, give me this mountain....". The word "now" spoken by Caleb to Joshua shows that he was sensitive to divine timing for that divine prophecy to be fulfilled.
Therefore, you also need to understand that every prophecies of God to you has God's timing. Ecclesiasticus 3:11a, said he makes all things beautiful in his time. But between the time God gave you the prophecy and the time the prophecy will be fulfilled, you must have the faith in God that;
1. Whatever He promised or spoken concerning you, He also will fulfill it. So don't forget or throw away your prophecy. For 45 years Caleb did not forget his own nor threw it away. Vs.6
2. Believe He who promised you will certainly keep you alive to see the fulfillment of your prophecy.vs.10
3. Believe He who keeps you alive for your prophecy to be fulfilled will surely equips you with everything you need to play your role in the fulfillment of the prophecy. Caleb said though I am 85 years old now, but I have strength to fight war to get what God has promised me.vs.10-11.
4. Believe He who keeps you alive for your prophecy to be fulfilled will also give you strength to enjoy the prophecy when it is fulfilled.vs.12-14
5. Know that all you need is wholly followed the Lord in faith without wavering.vs.7-8
Go on today with these assurance and give God the praise for He is able to do all He has promised you.
Prayer Points: Ask the Lord to give the spirit of sensitivity to divine timing for the fulfillment of your prophecies, and ask for correct heart to follow Him whole heartedly.
