Topic: THE LORD IS ON MY SIDE
Bible Reading: Psalm 118:5-9.
This is the word that the Holy Spirit laid on my spirit as we pray in Church this morning by 6am, "The Lord is on my side", I want us to see this statement in two ways; and having this truth in you will boost your courage and give you confidence to face life.
First, The Lord is on my side: This could mean that, the Lord is not far from me, but very close to me, He is on my side. So, whenever you find yourself in trouble or distress, he is near you, he's not far from you, so all you need is call Him like David did, and He will answer you. David said when am in distress, I called the Lord and he answered, What makes that possible is because He is on my side. Once you know this you have nothing to be afraid of, you can over come distress and problems always, because the Lord is on your side.
Secondly, The Lord is on my side: This could mean that the Lord has taken side with me, therefore, he makes every decisions to my favor. Imagine a football match, that the referee happen to be on the side of one of the team against the other team, that means, every decision taking by the referee on the match will be in favor of the team that the referee is taking side with. Now, how much wonderful and favorable do you think life will be, if God is on your side, if He is taking side with you, He will always blow whistle and make decisions to your favor. God will make everything to work for you, and He will make sure you win in life, under no matter what.
Let this truth be strong in you, develop a mindset in this line, and let your faith be so strong in God, because it is better to trust in the Lord, than to trust in any other, then walk on in confidence in the Lord. Knowing that THE LORD IS ON YOUR SIDE, and everything shall surely walk to your favour, and He will make sure you win and become victorious in life.
Prayer Point: Pray for grace to develop solid and stable trust in the Lord, because He is on your side. Pray that divine activities around your life will be very visible for everyone to see in Jesus.
