DAILY PRECEPTS DEVOTIONAL STUDY
Topic: SUBMIT YOURSELVES TO GOD.
Bible Reading: James 4:6-8, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.
Many times when things happened on the negative, which we don't like, then, men put the blame of it on God, because of lack of understanding of God workings in a man's life. It is important to understand that Satan is always out to do the opposite of what God is doing.
Where God is saving Satan is destroying, where God is giving Satan is robbing and stealing, where God is blessing Satan is cursing, the list is endless.
But thanks to God because Christ has defeated Satan and his cohort on the cross, and he has given us victory over Satan and his works. And now for you to enjoy the victory that we have in Christ, one must understand how to handle Satan. God gave believers the secret of dealing with the Devil, and to successfully handle him all it takes is your submission to God.
To submit to God, you will have to be in total obedience to Him by submitting to his word.
Our scriptural reading today, said, submit yourselves unto God, only then you can resist the Devil and he shall flee from you.
You can't be disobeying God's word and still want to use the same word of God to attack the Devil. Disobeying the instructions of God is like telling Him to leave you alone, that you can run your life yourself and that's pride. Pride was the sin first seen in Devil and he was sent away from heaven. That was why verse 6 says God himself resist the proud. A man can be proud to God, or be proud to men but pride is pride. I have never known a man who is proud, and is obedience at the same time, a proud man is always disobedience and never ready to take to instructions.
But when you submit to God, you will obey him willingly, and when you walk in obedience to God's word no Devil or demons can resist your command to them.
1 Cor 10:6 says that God will turn to reprimand, punished, rebuke and attacked anyone, Devil or demons who try to go against your order, when your own obedience to God is complete. Once your life is in line with God's divine instructions, no forces of darkness can stop you nor stop any good things in yourvlife. As you go today, may you know how to walk in line with God's word in your life in Jesus name.
Prayer Points: Pray for grace to be humbly submit to God's word, and be in total obedience to God all your life time in Jesus name.
