Topic: THE SPIRIT OF PROSPERITY.
Bible Reading: Genesis 39:1-5, 47:14.
Prosperity is not measured in monetary value a man carried alone, but it is a spirit that carried certain experience. It will be little prosperity to measure in cash alone. How much did Joseph got or invested in Egypt whereas the scripture says he was prosperous man. He was brought down there half naked, or in rags been slave purchased with money, a slave boy in the house of his master who brought him to Egypt. So he had nothing when he got to Egypt, no money, no clothes, no friends, no family member, but the scripture said he was a prosperous man. How?
It was because there are certain activities around him, whatever Joseph was involved in, that thing will prosper, this became so visible that everyone noticed it. Take Joseph and put Him in a business that is almost closing up, the business will come back to live. Put Joseph around a company that the machines are always damaged, the machine will work without coughing in his hands. And once you removed Joseph from it, the negatives will start again. Then Potiphar and all his household noticed that Joseph carried something that was different. But the scriptures gave us the revelation of his experience that, it was the manifestation of the spirit of prosperity. And the spirit was part of the proves of the presence of the Lord with him.
Though, at that time he didn't have any personal investments in Egypt, he had no account, no money but he was a prosperous man. Therefore, Potiphar left all his business in Joseph's hands, when he got the prison he was still a prosperous man and the guard left everything in his hands, that was his experience until he was made the head in Egypt and thus his natural status changed, and all the money of the Egyptians were all gathered by him. The spirit of prosperity was rooted in the presence of God that Joseph carried and not the amount of money he had. The spirit of prosperity will eventually bring money all the good substances of life, but it does necessarily start there. Put money in the hand of a man who has the spirit of poverty, in mean time all the money will disappear, because the spirit of poverty does not multiply it reduces, nothing works in the hand of a man with poverty spirit. But the experience of a man with spirit of prosperity is totally different, give it nothing it will take life from there and multiply and increase it. A man with the spirit of prosperity will eventually have money and many other good things, that is why a man with spirit of prosperity is never afraid of given, because he is so sure it will increase. But one with spirit of poverty is always afraid of loosing what he has at hand. Provb. 11:24.
Today my counsel to you is that you're not only to be longing for money, rather be longing for the Lord's presence with you, and spirit of prosperity shall accompany you in all that you do henceforth in Jesus name. Then success, money and all good things of life shall come to you cheaply.
Prayer Point: Pray and bind the spirit of poverty around you, and pray that the presence of the Lord accompany by the spirit of prosperity will be with you as you go all your life in Jesus name.
