Topic: THE SPIRIT OF FAITH
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:13
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;"
It is important to know that faith is not just the name given to an action, but a spirit that takes hold of a person that produces an action, this is based on total reliance and trust in God. Apostle Paul said we having the same SPIRIT OF FAITH; that spirit that propel men to speak out what they believed based on what is written in the word of God.
He is showing us a mystery there, that the reason why many people find it so difficult to speak in line with what they claim to believed God has written for them, is because the spirit of faith hasn't take hold of them.
To speak is not difficult, anybody can speak, there is a freedom of speech. But it's speaking in line with what is written for you in God's word, that many find very difficult. And its only speaking by faith that can get you everything done on the earth, by faith all things are possible. But it becomes really impossible to speak or act in faith without the spirit of faith, because faith does not make sense it is a spirit.
It does not make sense that you were stranded by the side of a river and the next thing you are looking for is a rod or cloth like Moses and Elijah/Elisha did. Or you need to pull down a very strong wall and the next thing you embarked on is a match pass, like the Children of Israelites did when led by Joshua against Jericho. Because acts of faith on its own does not make normal human sense, its only make spiritual sense.
1 Corinthians 2:14 says;
"But the natural man RECEIVETH NOT the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
That is why we need the spirit of faith, because it helps us to move in line with God in faith, though, it may not make any sense to natural man, but when we moved in faith with God, the results will begin to announce to men that we are operating a wisdom that is higher than any other wisdom on the earth. Then, all things and anything can become possible for us.
Prayer Point: Pray that the Lord will baptized you with the spirit of faith to walk in realms of the supernatural to bring glory to Jesus in Jesus name.
