Bible Reading: Genesis 18:1-15.
Abraham had an experience with the Lord, when he sat at the door of his tent taken the breeze to cool his body down from the heat of the day. Then he lifted up his eye and saw three men standing by him, then, Abraham appeal to them to let him receive them and entertain them as guest in his house before they continue their journey, and the men agreed who one of them eventually happened to be the Lord. While they were eating the Lord said to Abraham in verse 9, where is Sarah your wife, Abraham answered, she is in the tent? And the Lord said
"I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son."
And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. And Sarah laughed when she heard what the Lord said, and the Lord said why did Sarah laughed? And Sarah denied, he even argued it out with the Lord that he didn't laugh.
At that incident I thought within myself, if it were to be man to man, or senior to Junior that will be the end of the promises. As a man he will just say because you lied on this, and you make me look like a fool to people for deny what did, then, my promise to you is canceled today. But no, God is not a man, the Lord look beyond her fault to go ahead and fulfill the promise he made to her. I am bringing this word to you today, that you should not allow Satan to deceive you that your promises has been cancelled because something wrong you did in the past. There are many who are been hunt by their past, that condemnation has made them believed that God is angry with them and that is why God is punishing them. But this is not true, The word of God says if any man sin, then the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins.
Therefore, all you have to do is repent and correct your ways before God, go on in the righteous path, and keep progressing with the Lord. But never allow the Devil to capture your life under the spirit of condemnation, and thereby, cancel the promise of God to you. Know that whatever you do, God's promises still stands, if you deny Him, He will not deny Himself, when you are not faithful He remain faithful still.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will give revelation of Himself to you, that you will know Him as a father and as a promise keeper to you.
