Topic: HOW TO PROTECT YOUR HEART.
Bible Reading: Psalm 119:9-11, Philipians 4:8.
Yesterday in our study we learned how Devil invaded the heart of Judas with the thought of betraying Jesus, which he did eventually. The experience of Judas make us know that it is our responsibility to protect our heart, so that it will not become tool for the Devil.
So today we want to learn how do we protect our hear? The first way is watch things you hear, see, and relate with. Jesus said in Luke 8:18, Take heed How you hear...
Therefore, you have right to protect yourself against people and materials that supply bad and corrupted informations to you.
Second thing to protect your heart, is to feed on the word of God very well. That is your good news, is full of positive and holy words. David said vs.11; Thy word I have hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
The quality and quantity of the truth of God's word in your heart will determine the level of divine protection your heart and life will experience.
Thirdly, the last point I want to mention on how to protect your hear, is not to speak out negative thoughts but speak against it. Jesus when he was teaching us on how to deal with worry, gave a secret in Matthew 6:31, Therefore, take no thought, SAYING...
The simple way to agree with the thought in your heart and open door of your heart to it, is to say it. So Jesus said, when you have a thought you don't want in your heart, then don't say it, but rather speak back against it. If you have thought of sin bind it and speak word of God on holiness against it, this is also how to deal with thoughts of poverty, sickness, failure, frustrations, depression and so on. If they are positive and good thoughts then speak those ones out, speaking program your body for action.
Practice these steps often and your destiny shall be secured. May you life the kind of life you desire and that will glorify God on earth in Jesus name.
