Topic: THE CANDLE OF THE LORD.
Bible Reading: Proverbs 20:27, Psalm 18:28.
Many times God'people desire to walk in line with what God has planned for them, but it looks complicated to them. God did not planned it to be difficult for his children to walk daily in His plan, we only need to understand the tools that God has given us to make it work, in Psalm 18:28,
"For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness."
God does not want us to be in the dark as far as life is concerned, therefore, He gave us a Candle manufactured by Himself, a candle that could only be lightened up by God, but we have a responsibility of going to God to light up our candle.
Now, what is this candle that God gave us? That is our HUMAN SPIRIT. Proverb 20:27 says; 27
"The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly".
This candle helps you to see into God's plan for your life and destiny daily. God reveals his will to us through our spirit, because God is Spirit and those who will relate with Him can only do it by the their recreated spirit. John 4:24. And Paul said in Romans 8:16 said, the Spirit of God communicates to our spirit that we are the children of God. But why is it that not everybody on earth hears God or know God's will, since it is everyone that has human spirit?
Reason is that, until a man is born again his/her spirit cannot be lightened as David said in Psalm 18:28. The spirit is dead as far as God is concern so he/she can never relate with God who is Spirit, and to relate with Hod through our spirit begins when a person is genuinely born again. And also if the spirit of man is alive and does not have light, it is also useless, a man with a candle that has no light in the dark, is not different to a man in dark with no candle at all.
After you are born again and your candle(spirit) comes alive, you are now from then, to take responsibility on daily basis to make sure that the light does not go out of your candle through your daily fellowship with God, and the more you get better and get consistent with your fellowship with God the brighter the light on your candle is. And the brighter the light on your candle(spirit), the easier it is for you to pick what God is saying and you can walk perfectly in the will of God for your life daily.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will keep lightening your candle, and pray that God will give you grace to take responsibility for your spiritual development on daily basis.
