Bible Reading: Ephesians 6:10-18.
Finally, my brethren, BE STRONG IN THE LORD and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The devil is our real enemy and a strategic fighter, that is why the scripture warned us not to be ignorant of his devices, so that he will not take an advantage of us. This made it of an importance to discuss one of his strategies he does employ to attack his victims, that devil does not attack strength rather he attacks weakness. So if you're strong spiritually, you are a dilemma to him, and his first plan is to do everything to bring you from strength to weakness.
The parable in Matthew 13:24-25, of a man who planted good seeds in his vineyard, and suddenly tares began to grow among the wheats, when the servant asked how it happened? The master of the vine answered, "when men slept".
Evidently, there is no time that a man becomes so weak like the time that he/she is in the sleep mode. Therefore, Devil did not attacked the farm land when the men are awake, he waited until they slept, and then attacked.
This is to sound a warning to everyone to be at alert against the time, the things and the place that can make you loose your strength spiritually, and consciously guide against it. And do things that will make you strong and increase your spiritual strength. That was why Paul the Apostle warned the Ephesians church to be STRONG IN THE LORD AND THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT," so that they can withstand the strategies of the devil. May the Lord give you strength in your inner man in Jesus name.
Prayer: Bind the spirit of weakness sent against your prayer life, bible study, and holiness living to you by the devil in the name of Jesus
