Bible Reading: Mark 5:1-20.
When confronted with challenges of life, one begin to wondered what exactly is the devil looking for in my life? The challenge may be spiritual, financial, marital, career or health, etc. At that time many ask question, what exactly is wrong with me that make me face all these problems? The true answer to it is that not that something wrong with you, but it's because something is right with you, that is why you are facing all these challenges.
Have you ever thought of what the Devil is looking for in the life of the madman of Gadarenes, that made his life become an habitation for thousands of demons? The same thing that he is looking for in the life of many people today that make men face all kinds of trouble. The Devil is not just looking for your health, neither is he looking for your money, nor any other that you may think of. What makes him attack people's health, finance, marriage, career, business, it is to get them away from thier purpose in life, that is the reason for existence, the purpose of the salvation of your soul.
The Devil's attack against the life of the madman of Gadarenes is to get him unfit the purpose of God for the life of the man. That was why Jesus took it all upon himself to come over to Gadarenes to deliver and liberate that man from those demons so that he can be fit to fulfill his God's given purpose on the earth. After the deliverance, the man begged Jesus to allow him to follow Jesus, but Jesus refused, and said to the man to go back home to his friends, relatives and citizens, to tell them the good things the Lord has done for him, and the man carried the good news, became an Evangelist and with the gospel of Jesus he was able to cover ten cities in Decapolis.
The same is your case, the reason why the Devil has been hitting you with all problems from every side is because of your destiny and purpose in God. Therefore, you need to fight for your destiny and purpose from God. Many because of challenges in thier lives has forgotten anything about purpose in life, the only thing they are mindful of is solving their problems. They are not even aware that the Devil's attack in their lives, is to distract them from thier destiny and purpose in life. And because of that they stay longer than it should be in problems, so what matters to God does not matter to them again. For when men are mindful of solving their problems, God is mindful of you fulfilling your purpose on the earth.
Know that when what matters to God begins to matter to you, then you will see God making ways for you to come out of your problems. For God wants to liberate you from your problems so that you can fulfill your God's given purpose. May the Lord helps you that what matters to God will matter to you.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will open your eyes to your purpose and destiny on the earth, and that what matter to God will matter to you. I see you coming out of your problems to enter into your God's given purpose in Jesus name.
