Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4:1-7.
Most times people pray to God for things but fail to prepare for what is coming. Either because they really don't believe the answer will come, or don't know it will come that soon or that it will come that much. So when the answer eventually comes, they don't have enough physical preparation that will help them to hold the miracle and make it a permanent experience.
The story of one of the wives of the sons of prophet, who cried to Elisha to save her two sons from slavery in the hand of the creditors the husband was in debited to. Elisha told the woman by the word of the Lord to go to her neighbor to borrow vessels not few in numbers, after that she should take the little oil she has in the house and started pouring into the empty vessels. And when she did so the oil began to multiply and increase and vessels upon vessels were filling up, then she told the children to bring more vessels and they told her there is no more vessel to bring, and the oil stayed. So the out flow of the miracle oil is been cut short by the woman's preparation.
Now that the woman said bring more vessels, this shows that; one, she loved what she just started seeing and she wants more of it, two, it shows that there are still spaces in the room for more vessels to stand, but they didn't get vessels enough on ground.
One thing about miracle is that it comes at the set season, and when it comes it won't wait for you to go, get ready and come back, no. Once it comes it fill the preparation it meets on ground and goes off. If you haven't prepare before it comes, then, ones it goes back you will have to wait for another cycle of its rotation.
So for what you are praying for now, how ready are you for it? You are praying for marital breakthrough, but are you ready as a lady to go through the stress of duties of a wife, can you take the pressure of a mother, as a man can you face all the demands it will take as a husband and a father. You're trusting God for a job, but how ready are you to wake up very early to go to work, and how diligent are you?
How ready are you for what is coming? Your husband or wife is coming, job is coming, business opportunities are coming, many things you have placed before heaven are coming, but are you really ready for what is coming? I pray you will not disappoint heaven, yourself and your generation in Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Pray that God will prepare you for what He is bringing.
