Topic: HOW POWERFUL IS THE WORD OF GOD.
Bible Reading: Hebrew 4:12; 11:3; Psalm 119:9-11.
I heard part of the story of the Second World War, when United State warned Japan to stop war and give peace a chance, but they refused to yield to the warning. Then, US threatened to use their Atomic Bomb to fight them if they continue the fight, yet, they refuse to yield to United State until US was forced to use the first Atomic bomb called Little Boy against them. After that, Japan refused to surrender in the war, then the second bomb called Fat man was used by US on 9th August, 1945. When Japan saw the effect of the power of these weapons Japan begin to surrender and ended the war. US also, seen the effect of the weapons, regretted that if they have known that the weapons has the power to do that kind of damage they would have never used it.
Now the lesson here is that when you don't know the power that something carry, you have the tendency to underrate it. This is the reason why children of God is are treating the word of God the way they do today. But you must know that God's word carries great power writhing it.
One, it has the power to clean up a person, no matter how dirty his/her life has been, the word of God can clean you up again. Two, the word of God you hide in my heart has the power to keep you from sinning. This means, you are has holy and pure as the level of the content of the quality of the word of God you carry inside you.
Three, the word of God has the power to create anything, there is nothing on the earth that is not created by the word of God, and is still creative today, if you can encounter the word of God and you learn how to use it, it will also create whatsoever you want to create in your life, so if desire something in your life which is not there, the word of God can bring it, if not existing the word of God can create.
Therefore, I challenge you today to take responsibility of storing up the word of God in your heart and you will live a life according to word of God daily, it will better your life forever.
Prayer Point: Pray that God open your heart to come to know the power that is in the word of God, and as you read, hear, meditate, confess, and practice your word, it will bring great changes to your life.
