Topic: HAND OF THE LORD IS NOT SHORT Bible Reading: Isaiah 59:1-3, Romans 5:12.
When dealing with issue and it looks like everything standstill, nothing is changing. You prayed, fasted, bind and loose but all to no avail, at that point, people begin to think has God's power failed? Is prayer not working again? But God has given answer to that in Our bible reading for today.
"Behold, THE LORD'S HAND IS NOT SHORTENED, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: BUT YOUR INIQUITIES HAVE SEPARATED between you and your God, AND YOUR SINS HAVE HID HIS FACE FROM YOU, that he will not hear."
One thing we need to have settled in our heart is that God is never the problem of man. With the verse quoted above, when things seems to be going the wrong way, and prayer seems not to be working, then, one need to check his/her life first. When God created man in the garden of Eden every thing was very good and thst was God's own testimony about creation, no lack, no sickness, no poverty, no failure, until sin entered in through the fall of man kind, by the deception of Satan. From then, trouble has entered the world for mankind.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
When sin entered in, it brought in a partner called death, death is the stopping point of anything good. So sickness is the death of good health, poverty is the death of prosperity, failure is the death of success and so on, and finally lake fire is second death for all who failed to repent of their sins. So to stop any work of the Devil, then, deal with sin and iniquity in your life.
In a nutshell, sin brings death, and sin separate a man from God and blocked him/her from receiving help of God. Know today, that the hand of Lord of the Lord is not short to help you or to deliver, but sins and iniquity will hinder a man from the needed help from God the hand of God.
Prayer Point: Pray that the spirit of the Lord search you and remove everything in your life that does not make you pleasing to God, and pray that the spirit of holiness takes hold of you.
